APA Specialized Center of Bojnord University was established at the beginning of summer 2015 and was opened by the Honorable Minister of Communications and Information Technology as a representative of the government during Government Week (beginning of September 2015) under the supervision of Dr. Mehran Garmeh, a member of the faculty of Bojnord University. With the sincere cooperation of the university and the Information Technology Organization, the center was quickly equipped and the technical body of the center was created from students, faculty members, graduates and other capable people. The APA Center of Bojnord University operates precisely and exclusively in the fields of awareness, support and assistance for cyber security incidents. Since the beginning of the winter of 2015, this center has specialized in the field of national research in the field of ransomware attacks and ways of relief and countermeasures. With the occurrence of recent ransomware attacks, these researches were used nationally and made this laboratory known at the national level. “We believe this is the beginning of the fight against ransomware.”
